A wine tasting event spotlighting Rombauer Vineyards and Dow’s Port.
The Rombauer family produces wine of superior quality, and is now recognized as one of the premier wines in the world.
Rombauer Vineyards’ Chardonnay is rich and full-bodied with peach, apple, and mango aromas and flavors. The creamy texture of asian pears and peaches glides across the palate and the light oak tones highlight the wine's complex and lingering finish.
Rombauer Vineyards' Cabernet Sauvignon is a plush, concentrated wine that exhibits ripe fruit flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and dark cherries that pick up momentum and open gracefully into the finish. There are supple tannins that highlight the fruit driven style of this wine.
Rombauer Vineyards’ Napa Valley Merlot exhibits a ripe, juicy core of blueberry, plum, and black cherries that glide across the palate. Elegantly styled, this wine displays rich spice notes that highlight the fruit and add to the complexity of the wine. A full-bodied, round finish is accentuated with hints of cedar and vanilla.
For over two centuries the name of Dow has been associated with the finest Port from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley in Portugal. Dow produces some of the best Vintage Ports in the world, according to Wine Spectator Magazine.
