Battle of the Bone Wing Eating Contest Kicks Off Today

Native New Yorker to crown 23 Valley area wingoff winners before staging the finals on August 27th

Phoenix – March 18, 2008 – The Phoenix area will find out how many wings one person can eat, as the Native New Yorker Restaurant is proud to announce the Inaugural “Battle of the Bone” contest presented by Right Honda and Bud Light.

The inaugural “Battle of the Bone” wing-eating contest will kickoff on Wednesday, March 19 in Tempe. The contest will take place over the course of 24 weeks with the Battle of the Bone Champion to receive the Grand Prize: a two-year lease on a new Honda Element from Right Honda. Plus bragging rights!

Every Wednesday from March 19 through August 20, 2008, each of the 23 Valley Native New Yorker locations will host a weekly wingoff competition. At each location, they will crown the weekly “wingoff” winner, who will move onto the Battle of the Bone Finals, which will be held on August 27, 2008.

The rules are simple: pre-registered contestants will have 10 minutes and 60 seconds to devour as many hot wings as they can. Contestants will have to eat the wings to the “bone” with only water available.

This contest is open to amateurs only. No Joey Chestnuts or Kobayashis allowed!

To register and see the complete list of locations for the contest, please visit www.battleofthebone2008.com.
